Frequently Asked Questions

Why is Let It Go Yoga different than other styles of yoga?

Many yoga practices are mainly working with the physical body and never address the mind/body connection. They do not teach that thoughts and emotions play a key part in creating the tension that is then held in the body. Since the entire Let It Go Yoga practice is done lying down, it gives students the opportunity to close their eyes and go deeper into their own experience.

When is the course start date?

Upon enrolling you will receive your first module and you can begin! You will then receive weekly course modules for a total of 8 weeks. Each modules includes 5-6 classes each with a total of over 50 training videos. You can complete each module at your own pace.

What do I need in addition to the training?

You will need internet connection and the ability to download/print materials. You will need the following props: A yoga mat, blankets and a yoga strap. You will also need a space where you can lie down and stretch in all directions and at least one student to work with, either in person or through Zoom or other live video.

Can I get help if needed?

Yes, Sue Anne & Jim are available in a variety of ways: You may call, email, message through Facebook or comment within the course. We are here to help you every step of the way.

What are the certification requirements?

Anyone sincerely interested in Let It Go Yoga is most welcome to enroll in the course. The teaching certification is awarded on the basis of successful comprehension and completion of the 8 modules, including the quizzes, homework and submitting a 10 minute video showing your ability to communicate the principles of Let It Go Yoga to others.

Do I have to be super flexible to become a teacher?

No, we believe that a good teacher needs to be able to work with varying degrees of flexibility, including your own. We have found that the most compassionate teachers have some difficulty with aspects of their own practice. We teach variations that will help you and will help you assist your students and provide you with an accessible, safe and effective class.

How much yoga experience do I need?

People who have never done yoga before practicing Let It Go Yoga have successfully completed our training and now have a rewarding teaching career. If you are new to Let It Go Yoga, we suggest you begin by taking our Introduction to Let It Go Yoga online course and experience the many benefits of this unique style.

You may decide to teach from your home, offer online classes, offer retreats, teach for an established center or open your own studio.
