People do strange things to get to witness the bending and twisting of Sun’s rays around the very rim of the Earth, passing through the lower atmosphere that acts like a giant lens…. Yes, I am talking about the sunsets – those magical moments when people climb on top of the mountains and roofs, go to the seaside and travel to lakesides, go to places where there could be an unobstructed view of the wonder about to unfold in front of their eyes.

It is a process.

You can not run out on the deck and take a quick glance and say: “Saw it! I now am fully aware of the beauty of that ever changing and magical sunset… because I took half a second to look at it…”  Well, I guess, you can, of course, do that. But you’d be robbing yourself of a possibility to still your mind and slow the time… and witness a magical spectacle. Not just a snapshot in time… (An interesting note – mid 2018 Forbes published an article by their Senior Contributor Laura Begley Bloom, saying that : ”According to data gathered by SpaSeekers, a whopping 286 million images of sunsets were uploaded to Instagram over the last year. The website also analyzed Instagram data from the last 12 months to rank the locations of the 10 most Instagrammed sunsets in the world. Coming in at the top of the list was California, with a staggering 5.7 million sunset photos!”)

Same goes for Let It Go Yoga practice – having done a pose or two, or even the whole practice once… you can not declare that you have reaped the benefits of Let It Go Yoga. Like sunset…  it is a process. And like sunset it is an ever changing one.

And like with sunset, when you thought that it can not get any better, it gifts you with  some unexpected shades of green or purple you did not see coming…

When watching the sunset people (usually) become quieter, the vivacious conversations wither away and one is left with the majesty and almost unbearable beauty of what’s unfolding. The same thing happens while practicing Let It Go Yoga – the mind’s conversations slowly cease and allow space for the experience to unfold,  letting go of what does not serve us anymore and changing our relationship with the views, ideas and beliefs that we keep… And sometimes an equivalent of some unexpected green or purple streaks in the sunset sky happen – breakthroughs, understanding, forgiveness, awareness, resolve…

Follow the magic! Expect the unexpected! Enjoy the process of watching the sunsets and … expect your yoga journey to be unparalleled!
