This past month, our family had the opportunity to attend a sound bath at the Integratron in Landers, CA. We were visiting Palm Springs and heard that this was an experience worth trying. We drove out to the Joshua Tree area early on a Sunday morning and joined an eager group of folks ready to experience the sound bath.
Why that shape? And why that location? The website states, “The location of the Integratron is an essential part of its functioning. It was built on an intersection of powerful geomagnetic forces that, when focused by the unique geometry of the building, concentrate and amplify the earth’s magnetic field.” Once you enter the building, you actually climb a set of stairs to get to the sound bath on the upper level.
Before we started, we learned a little about the history of the Integratron and the creator, George Van Tassel. It really is a fascinating read that they have published on their website if you’re interested in learning more.
We then got comfortable as the sound bath started. The sound quality was truly remarkable – We were told beforehand that it was easier to hear the far side of the room than someone right next to you. So no whispering or snoring during the sound bath. The experience was wonderful – peaceful, rejuvenating and a great way to spend a sunny weekend morning. If you are in the area, be sure to check it out and enjoy.
We picked up some pendulums in the gift shop!
