Chocolate Cake

Birthday’s can be the hardest when you are gluten free but with this recipe you won’t miss the gluten!

We dust it with light powdered sugar or make a gluten free frosting. Sometimes we use strawberry filling the cakes.

Chocolate Cake

2 cups gluten free flour
2 cups coconut sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa power
1/2 teaspoon xanthan gum
1 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 1/2 cups almond milk
1/2 cup coconut oil
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 eggs

2 pans 9 x 1 1/2”” Round


1.Preheat oven to 350”
In a large bowl, add flour, coconut sugar, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt.
Add almond milk, coconut oil, and vanilla.
Mix with an electric mixer on low speed for 2 minutes.
Add eggs and mix for 2 minutes more
Grease  2 pans with coconut oil and lightly flour.
Bake for 30-35 minutes until toothpick comes out clean.

We usually dust with powered sugar or make a light drizzle frosting with powered sugar and water.
