I’ll be the first to admit that I have a lot of thoughts during my yoga practice. Even though the true intention of yoga is to focus inward and clear your mind, I have found that it’s almost impossible to turn my thoughts off. All sorts of things pop into my head, whether it’s ideas for work, my plans for later or what I recently watched on TV. I know I’m not alone, because you have to be pretty close to enlightened to have no personal musings while you hold a yoga pose. Since we’re all human, I decided to share some of the silly thoughts that have come into my head while I’m on the floor practicing Let It Go – Hopefully you can relate! If you have any to add, let me know in the comments below.

(While meditating) I’m so zen right now.

That’s a great affirmation. I AM powerful. How can I bring that into my regular life? Should I start standing up for my ideas at work? Oh, I got distracted and everyone is already going into the first pose.

When was the last time I practiced yoga? Everything hurts.

My body is going to feel so good after this!

Oops, I did the wrong side. I hope no one notices.

This hurts, this hurts, this hurts. Yay, we released the pose. Oh, this next pose also hurts.

I’m so good at this! This is my pose!

This pose looks very intimidating. I’m just going to take a drink of water to kill time.

I can’t wait for Savasana.

Only 3 more breaths while holding the pose…I can hold it for 3 more breaths, right?

Where’s the clock in this room? I need to know how many minutes I have left.

Finally, we’re in a spinal twist. Can we stay here forever?

(In Joyful Baby pose) I definitely missed a spot last time I shaved my legs.

I should get a new yoga mat. I wonder if there’s a sale on eco friendly yoga mats right now.

I’m so glad I can’t see what I look like right now. It was a good call to place my mat away from the mirror.

A smoothie sounds amazing after class. I can live the ultimate yogi lifestyle!

We’re almost done, I just have to do these incredibly hard poses and then I can collapse in a heap on the floor.

I did it! I didn’t think for a whole hour! Wow, I feel great.

(While in Savasana) Don’t bother me, I’m doing yoga.
